Ruth West, RN, BSN President of Consistent Compliance
There have been so many changes within long term care communities since the inception of Covid-19 and there will be many lingering factors well through vaccination. This program will focus on the multiple risk factors associated with isolating residents due to Covid-19. The risk factors include increased risk for falls, pressure sores, weight loss and cognitive decline. Our session will address critical interventions to help your team cope with the risks in order to provide appropriate care and treatment.
The Presentation will provide:
- Describe the major risk factors associated with the isolation of residents
- Review what regulations will put your facility at risk for neglect
- Discuss how to develop and implement a compliant, successful plan of care to deal with the major risk factors?
- Learn how to interact with concerned staff as well as distraught families
